Membership Eligibility
• A registrant with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), holding a general certificate of registration as a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW), entitled to practice, and in good standing. Please note - Registered Social Workers (RSW) are not eligible for this membership.

• General membership with OSSWA is a prerequisite for applying to the Association’s designated insurer for social service work liability coverage.

• A graduate from an Ontario College Diploma in social service work (or equivalent) at a College of Applied Arts & Technology (CAAT), recognized Indigenous Institute (or equivalent) as approved by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
• NOT currently a registrant with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), holding a general certificate of registration as a Registered Social Service Worker (RSSW). Please note - Registered Social Workers (RSW) are not eligible for this membership.

• All eligible students enrolled will be provided a free student membership for the year with the association. The student’s membership can be renewed for free on an annual basis, as long as the educational institute continues to maintain their ambassador membership and the student remains eligible for student membership.
